The stillness
Wraps around me
Like an old friend
At last
Peace

Like the clay
On a potters wheel
I pull and push
To make what is not
From what all ready is

If only I would see
All that is
Just is

You cannot catch the moment

For so long
My focus had changed
Today
I have begun again

wanderfulleena:

I have yet to ever make a post about this after all this time, seeing as I make a post about all the other random stuff I think about. My family is basically holding a celebration in honor of my great-grandmother. It’s to thank Buddha for her long life, she believes this year will be her last…

I think this is awesome, and I wish it could happen in my life. I am so thankful that it gets to happen in the poster’s life.

I love the way we fight

I smile in a certain way when we do

I’m dumb

your silly

thats the way we love

some burn brighter

and those are the fools who get hit by the snipers

My stupid mouth… I’m sorry for being a bone head

You are the thing

I seek to protect

I hope you know that

Without you

the skies would be different to me

The anwsers are closer then they seem

stop trying

The world is more beautiful

The world is more beautiful

Where we want to be

and where we are

both start with the ground

under our feet

I need to write a poem

that shows you the way I imagine the room feels

when we just stay in and watch a movie

but I can’t

so any poem is better

even this one

if this is indeed a poem

I became ashamed today

when at the end of it

I looked down at my soiled hands

and realized that

I’m trading my days

for all the riches

that I never really needed

and I’m losing

all the things I ever really had

It’s always the fleeting moment

that we treasure the most

(I don’t want to publish this, because then it becomes real.)

my-little-one:

I always wonder how I’ll feel when I examine an experience for the second time. I think about it as the moment’s happening. I make mental notes to document particular things I might like to savor; details which should linger so I may remember.
